Season is open year around, any hour of the day or night. Limits are: 5 trout and 15 warmwater game fish of which not more than 1 may be black bass, 1 may be white bass hybrid (wiper), and 5 may be channel catfish. Minimum size for black bass and white bass hybrids is 15 inches, except for March 1 through June 30 when only catch and release fishing is allowed for black bass.

Wilson Reservoir, Elko County, was constructed in 1954 as an irrigation water storage reservoir. Reservoir, outlet and inlet streams up to State Route 11: Season is open year around, any hour of the day or night. Limit is 5 trout, 10 mountain whitefish and 10 black bass. Minimum size for black bass is 11 inches. The possession while fishing or use of the fish as bait, whether dead or alive, or parts thereof, except preserved salmon eggs, is prohibited. No boat restrictions.

At capacity, Illipah covers 70 surface acres to a maximum depth of 50 feet. Rainbow trout, stocked twice annually, and a self-sustaining population of brown trout currently inhabit the reservoir. The 2004 catch rates were 1.41 fish per angler and 0.43 fish per hour, with rainbow trout ranging between 9.1 and 15.1 inches and brown trout averaged 15.5 inches. Good fishing can be found year around, but peaks in the spring and fall. Mid-winter ice fishing (December through February) can also be good.

Big Springs Reservoir is located at the northern end of the Sheldon Antelope Refuge, 131 miles northwest of Winnemucca. The season is open the second Saturday in May through the last day of February, any hour of the day or night. Limit is 5 trout per day or in possession.
