Sand Hollow Reservoir is the newest of Washington County's largemouth bass waters, located just a stone's throw south from Quail Creek and even closer to Hurricane. A state park entrance fee of $7 per vehicle is required to enter the park...Sand Hollow began filling in 2002 and will be more than 600 surface acres when full. It opened to fishing in 2004. Eight- to 16-inch bass are extremely abundant and a surprising number of larger bass, ranging up to more than five pounds, are also caught.

Wilson River, Oregon

Ruby Lake is located in the Great Basin of the West, Ruby Lake is a wetland oasis in Nevada's high desert. This refuge lies along the eastern flank of the scenic, snow-capped Ruby Mountains.

Season is open year around, any hour of the day or night. Limit is 5 trout and 15 warmwater game fish of which not more than 10 may be largemouth bass. The daily and possession limit is the same. No live bait is allowed. Trout catch rates were 3.27 fish per angler and 1.07 fish per hour with an average length of 12.08 inches. Catch rates for the white crappie were 0.95 fish per angler and 0.28 fish per hour with an average length of 7.72 inches. Largemouth bass catch rate was 0.83 fish per angler and 0.31 fish per hour with an average length of 7.95 inches. Unstable water conditions and a short growing season lead to small largemouth bass. Bass over 8 pounds are rare, but occasionally captured. A 2 pound 14 inch white crappie was captured in 1990. Anglers fish with power bait for trout, although lures and flies work equally well. The crappie take small worms, flies and crappie jigs. The largemouth can be captured with spinner baits, plugs, flies and worms (both artificial and live).

Onion Valley Reservoir was constructed in the early 1960's as an irrigation reservoir. Season runs from the second Saturday in June through the 15th of November. Limit is 5 trout per day and in possession. Use of live bait is prohibited.

Lake Tahoe, Nevada and California

The lake is situated at an elevation of 8,000 feet, covers 13 surface acres, and has a maximum depth of 35 feet. Angel Lake contains brook trout, rainbow trout, and speckled dace. Open year around, any time of the day or night. Limit is 5 trout.

Located 190 mildes north of Reno, Boulder Reservoir was constructed as a private reservoir for irrigation. General regulations apply: Open all year aroundm any hour of the day or night. Limit 5 trout.
