Regulations 
Season runs from the second Saturday in June through the 15th of November.
Limit is 5 trout per day and in possession. Use of live bait is prohibited.
Boating Regulations 
No special regulations apply.

- Rainbow Trout
- Bowcutt (Rainbow x Cutthroat)
- Tiger Trout (Brown x Brook Hybrid)
Camping 
Camping is available around the reservoir, but be aware there are no bathrooms
or trash cans so please be sure to take out what you bring into the reservoir.

Advice and Tips 
For fly-fisherman, nymphs seem to work well. Best times to fish Onion Valley Reservoir seem to be in the early spring.
For shore fisherman, you can never lose with Power bait or worms.

Getting Here 
FROM WINNEMUCCA
Travel north out of Winnemucca for about 30 miles. Turn left onto SR 140 heading towards Denio Junction. Before Denio,
you will come across Howard Cemetery and the Quinn River Hwy Maintenance Station. Take left at the sign for Knott Creek Reservoir and travel
to the top of the hill for approximately 20 miles.
